HOUSE CONCERTS

(Blind Dog Concerts)

We began doing house concerts with a terrific folk signer (Greg Greenway) when we lived in North Carolina, and decided to continue that tradition in Nova Scotia. We are fortunate to have a home with amazing acoustics – the former owner was an opera singer and so we think she had that in mind when she and her husband designed it! We can fit 40 people comfortably in the space, and because of the great acoustics, there is no bad place to sit.

General Info:

***Tickets $30/seat. All proceeds go to the musician(s)!***

  • Funds can be e-transferred to BlindDogConcerts@gmail.com or you can bring cash to the event

  • BYOB and feel free to bring a treat to share during the intermission (we will also provide some sweet and savory items)

Terra Spencer – Date TBD (June or Fall)

2025 Music Nova Scotia Entertainer of the Year.  Cinematic storytelling is a hallmark of many great Canadian folk songwriters, but in Terra’s case, it is charged with the wood-paneled ’70s warmth of Elton John, Karen Carpenter, and Jackson Browne. As a fun-loving and fearless solo performer, Terra has played some of Canada’s most renowned festival stages, including Mariposa, Stan Rogers Folk Festival, and Lunenburg Folk Harbour Festival, where her Maritime waltz “Lunenburg Moon” has become an unofficial anthem. Think Steve Poltz and Carole King’s East Coast cousin.
